Jillian Emerson
About
Jillian Emerson is an associate with Shemtob Draganosky Taylor Stein, PC. Her practice focuses on divorce and related issues such as equitable distribution, support, child custody, and protection from abuse matters. Jillian believes the best approach to her legal practice is building trust and a strong relationship with her clients.
Jillian received her Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Juris Doctor from Drexel University, Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During her time in law school, Jillian served as Lead Editor on Drexel Law Review. Outside of law review, Jillian focused her time on family law. She participated in Drexel’s Civil Litigation Clinic at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, working as a Certified Legal Intern representing litigants in Custody and Protection from Abuse matters in Philadelphia County. Jillian also participated in the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project.
Following law school, Jillian was a judicial law clerk for the New Jersey Superior Court in Camden County, serving the Honorable Kurt Kramer, who was sitting as a Family Law Judge. Since her clerkship, Jillian has exclusively practiced family law.
In her personal life, Jillian enjoys spending time with her family, Philadelphia sports, and playing with her cat, Marvin.
