How We Will Help You Appeal Your Case
If you feel the court has dealt an unfair decision regarding your family-related matter, such as for child custody or child support, you have the right to request an appeal of the decision. A successful appeal must show how the original trial court made an error of law or inappropriately used its discretion to issue a final ruling in your case.
To begin an appeal, you should first enlist the help of an experienced trial lawyer. Our attorneys at Shemtob Draganosky Taylor Stein, PC can review your case and the judge’s decision to pinpoint which specific laws are relevant to your appeal and strategize an argument about how the court may have erroneously applied the law. Appeals are not easy, but with Shemtob Draganosky Taylor Stein, PC on your case, you can rest assured that you will have a team of experienced and tenacious trial lawyers to build your case.

How long has same-sex marriage been legal in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania has recognized same-sex marriages since May 2014 when a U.S. federal district court judge ruled that Pennsylvania’s 1996 statutory ban on the recognition of same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. Before then, Pennsylvania prohibited same-sex marriage and refused to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states. In June 2015 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that all states must issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and recognize same-sex marriages validly performed in other jurisdictions. This significant decision legalized same-sex marriage throughout the United States.
